Contact information:
HOA board:  email RestonStationBOD@theoharis.com to include all board members
Theoharis Management:  email RestonStation@theoharis.com with neighborhood issues (cc the board to keep them in the loop).

HOA Committee Updates:  If you are interested in joining any of these committees or learning more, please email the board. The board contact is in parentheses.

Social Committee (JoAnn Kuo):  To suggest an idea for a group or event, please email the board.

  • Summer Potluck:  Postponed due to extreme heat forecasted for June 22.  Tentatively rescheduled for September.
  • Intro to Bocce Ball Happy Hour:  TBA

Parking Committee (Chris Offen):  Private parking signs were installed on Beaker St, Midline Ave, and Faraday Park Dr.  Report non-compliant vehicles in these areas and other parking-related issues to the parking committee:  Jason Berg (jason@bestbergs.com) and Carolyn Cochran (carolyn.cochran@yahoo.com).

Landscaping Committee (Tracy King):  Elm St. lot (between Reston Station Blvd. and Beaker St.) was mowed, and the silt fence was reinstalled.  Rocks in the bio-retention basins will be reset, and weeding will be done throughout the summer.  Phase 2 homeowners should report their unhealthy and missing plants to EYA warranty.  Replacing plants in common areas is on hold until the transition from EYA is complete.  Please try to avoid adding pet pressure to landscaping adjacent to our townhomes.

Community Transition Committee (Chris Offen): A community walk-through with a third-party engineer, the board, and EYA is scheduled for mid-July. The community will be asked for input via a resident survey following the walk-through.

Communication Committee (JoAnn Kuo): Take a look at the neighborhood website (www.townhomesatrestationhoa.org) that is under development.

Architectural Review Committee (ARC) (JoAnn Kuo):  ARC is now in place.  Any exterior modifications to your property must be applied for using the Modification Form and submitted to the ARC via Theoharis for approval beforehand.

Helpful Hint:

You probably feel the phenomenon that heat rises on the top floor during the summer.  You may be able to help balance out the temperature between floors by employing HVAC dampers. This article (https://www.ars.com/blog/hvac-dampers-guide) does a decent job of explaining what they are and how to use them. In general, you want to direct cool air to the upper floor in the summer and warm air to the lower floor in winter.

Public Service Announcements (PSAs): What to do if you see a bear or a spotted lanternfly

ICYMI: In June, a bear was caught on doorbell cameras on Faraday Park Dr. You can report sightings to Virginia Department of Wildlife Resources’ toll-free wildlife conflict helpline at 1-855-571-9003.  https://www.fairfaxcounty.gov/news/be-bear-aware-its-season-bear-sightings

This month you might start seeing more spotted lanternflies because they reach their adult stage in mid-July. You are supposed to smash them if you see them, but that may be easier said than done - they can jump fast and far! https://www.fairfaxcounty.gov/publicworks/trees/spotted-lanternfly
