Dear Reston Station Neighbors,
The winter weather event is expected to bring between 2-6 inches of snow accumulation, with temperatures at or just below freezing. Snow is forecast to continue through the overnight hours, tapering off around 5:00 a.m. on Monday, February 23rd. Wind gusts are expected between 13–25 mph, with peaks reaching up to 39 mph at times.
Based on our recent post-storm debriefing with Freddy, he will mobilize operations overnight going into Monday morning.
Crews will focus first on clearing sidewalks, steps, and stoops to ensure safe pedestrian access throughout the community. Vehicle plowing of streets and alleyways will occur later on Monday morning as needed.
Full cleanup efforts, including any necessary deicing, spot treatments, and final clearing will continue through Monday as necessary.
Please exercise caution when walking or driving in the community during and after the storm. Sidewalks and steps may remain slippery even after initial clearing, especially in shaded areas or where snow has drifted.
We appreciate your patience and cooperation as Freddy’s team works to keep our community safe and accessible.
Thank you,
Theoharis Management
